We are currently reviewing evidence to develop recommendations to guide practice in areas including:

  • Prevention of iron deficiency anaemia
  • Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E, D, calcium, magnesium and folate
  • Screening for gestational diabetes
  • Screening for infections (Group B streptococcus, cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis, asymptomatic bacteriuria)
  • Gestational age determination
  • Smoking, vaping and substance misuse
  • Care after a birth experienced as traumatic
  • Family violence
  • Bereavement support
