The Australian Living Evidence Collaboration is a world-first initiative that brings together leading experts in evidence synthesis, guideline development and digital technologies to build a next generation system for delivering reliable, accessible, up-to-date evidence in health.
We support Australia’s healthcare professionals with continually updated, evidence-based clinical guidelines, new research and collaborative initiatives.
Our guidelines use the ‘living evidence’ approach, which combines rigorous, evidence-based methods and rapid updating as new research emerges. All guidelines use the GRADE methods and are designed to meet Australian NHMRC standards.
Relevant new questions to be addressed are continually sought from stakeholders and practitioners. For prioritised questions, the evidence is actively monitored and updated. Evidence surveillance combines horizon scans and targeted searches. Explore the ALEC owned and supported living guidelines.
Current initiatives of the Australian Living Evidence Collaboration include FEEVA, Climate Health and Co-designing a Living Evidence Architecture for our region.
